Ahabwe Mugerwa Michael

A Social Worker by profession, Ahabwe Mugerwa Michael is the founder ICOD Action Network. He has participated in many studies in the areas of governance, accountability, environment, HIV/AIDS,  agriculture, human rights and has participated in various studies and consultancies. He is a member  of Development Research Centre, Make Development Consults and Praxis Consult International teams  and has actively participated in baseline  surveys, project assessments and evaluation of small, medium and large programmes across the country. He is also skilled in Information Technology,  auditing, project planning, management and evaluation. Ahabwe has extensive knowledge of working with communities, CSOs and local governments in Uganda and has continually gained skills

.

and experience of articulating local level service delivery, human rights advocacy and capacity buildingHe is also the Lawyers Collective  partner in Uganda working on the Global Health Rights Litigation Project. Michael also spent 4 weeks working with Growing Power in Milwaukee USA as a Professional Food Security Fellow in a US Department of State funded Program that was coordinated by Critical Mass Leadership Education.He worked side-by-side with the Growing Power staff to explore sustainable farming practices, gain hands-on experience in setting up extensive community food systems, and critically examined challenges pertaining to food security in the USA and other parts of the world.


Nalukwago Fatuma

Fatuma is the Head of Programs  and the head of the Strategic Planning Team and holds a Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University.  She has been involved in Project Planning, Management and Evaluation. Through her efforts and active participation, the organization has been able to extend technical support to rural women self help groups engaging in agriculture and drama among others. She has also attended  a number of short business courses and  has  good accounting experience and knowledge. She also done a course in Permaculture Design from True Nature Design.

Fatuma has helped design projects targeting the most vulnerable members of the community.  During her time as Head of Finance, the organisation  took bigger strides towards consolidating accountability and transparency in all projects and activities which saw an approximately 97% increase in funding from partners and donors in 2010.

Twingirwe Annette

  • HIV

A teacher by profession, Annette has wide experience in HIV/AIDS programming,  community mobilization, administration, teaching and has previously served as a teacher  and as a Community  Development Assistant with Rakai Community Based Aids Project (currently RACOBAO) .She provides both technical and administrative support to the various projects.

 

Kayanga Martin

Kayanga  has been involved  in training rural communities in good agricultural practices, HIV/AIDS awareness, human rights,monitoring and evaluation of community based interventions. From 2003 – 2007, he volunteered with Rakai Community Based Organization (formerly Rakai Community Based Aids project) where  he was a trainer at the  Vocational Skills Training Centre. Before joining ICOD Action Network Martin  worked as a Community Development Assistant  in Participatory Action for Rural Development Initiative and

was responsible for planning, monitoring and evaluation of community based projects. He took up similar and more challenging  responsibilities after joining ICOD Action Network and its out of his efforts that the organization has been able to successfully  implement community development-centered projects in Lyantonde district

Ariho Adam

Adam is an ICT specialist and is  the Administrator at Lyantonde Internet Center. He has currently heads a team of staff and volunteers that  are training farmer's groups in  ICT and monitors the day-to-day operations of Lyantonde Internet Center. He is committed and hardworking and has worked hard towards the success of the ICT department. Adam was voted at the best staff for 2011 by our staff and community who use services at Lyantonde Internet Center.

Nyombi Joh

Nyombi John  is a Resident  Intern and is currently working on the ICT Program. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering from Kampala International University and actively takes part in training rural farmers and youth in Internet and computer use.John plays a key role in managing and updating the organization website and also responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configurations, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

He Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, perform data backups, systems and key processes, now working on coming up with a database for our organization. He is very committed and hardworking in ensuring that the goals and objectives of the organization become a success.

Ainebyona Milton

Ainebyona Milton is a Social Worker and a Teacher by training  and  has   been in community  development since 2006. Milton  holds a Bachelors Degree of Social Sciences  from Kyambogo University and a Diploma in Education.  He currently works as Administrative Assistant  proving administrative support in the Community and ICT departments.
